How to Care for Your Leather Gloves
When your gloves arrive, they are ready to be worn.
All Delphine Apollinaire gloves are made from the finest leather, and from the moment they grace your hand they will prove an investment. Taking care of them shouldn’t be hard, our gloves will retain their shape and definition for years, but a little TLC is always a good thing.
Remember, leather is a skin and brings with it natural resistance to the elements. However, some of our customers like an added protective layer, and there are a few high-street brands that can do this, but please be aware this may compromise the appearance of your gloves and we cannot be held responsible.
The most important thing to remember, should your gloves get wet, is to NEVER dry them using external heat sources, such as hairdryers, radiators or tumble driers as this can cause cracking. Let them dry in their own time and for softness apply some neutral leather crème.
If you need to clean your leather gloves, we recommend getting them dry cleaned by a professional. If your gloves become lightly marked, use a solution of soap flakes and warm water to gently wipe down the problem area. DO NOT place in a washing machine or submerge in water. Allow them to dry naturally.
